I was surprised at school when the receptionist walked into my classroom with a bouquet of flowers…for me! At first I thought for sure I had a secret admirer who wanted to show his affection around Halloween, in which case I was greatly disturbed albeit flattered.
However, they were from my dear friend Lindsay in honor of my nephew being born! It was just what I, and the students, needed to cause cranky Miss Gerdes to leave. A bonus to receiving flowers during middle school lunch, was that all the students immediately made up rumors as to whom the flowers were from. I love middle school, flowers, and having great friends to celebrate life with!
